AUDITION AT THEATRE CHARLOTTE

Anyone interested in performing on stage at Theatre Charlotte is welcome to audition. For musicals, generally you will be required to prepare a song and bring the sheet music to the audition and come dressed to move. For non-musicals you will most likely be asked to read scenes from the script. Perusal copies of scripts are often available for those interested in auditioning. Rehearsals are usually held Sunday through Thursday evenings. Theatre Charlotte is committed to diversity on our stage and in our audience. We strongly encourage actors of color to audition.

Now accepting auditions to perform during our 2021 Grand Nights for Singing

Theatre Charlotte is excited to announce open applications for the return of our Grand Nights for Singing series this summer! This year we will produce more concerts in more locations, giving audiences all over Charlotte a chance to experience entertainment from local artists.

If you are interested in participating in a GNFS concert, submit your application to auditions@theatrecharlotte.org with GNFS in the subject line.  Please include a preliminary set list of five songs you would perform, along with a small sample (60-90 seconds) of you singing. Emphasis should be on original music or songs from musicals, but more importantly, these concerts are about you the performer.

Locations and dates of performances will be announced in May.  If you play an accompanying instrument (piano, guitar, etc.) you must be able to provide that for the performance.  There will be a limited number of artists performing at each concert.

Application deadline is May 1st.  All artists selected to participate will be notified via email by the end of May.
